Alfie

Whenever I go to Starbucks and they ask me my name so they can put it on a cup, I always choose something different. Today, it was Alfie.

I've been stressed about selecting my courses these past few days. It is such a tedious, lengthy and difficult task. It is so confusing as well. Because I am a nerdy girl I am excited about taking many of my Uni courses. There are a whole bunch of ones I can choose from such as one called Multiculturalism, Philosophy and Film or a class in reading and writing poetry or an Introduction to Archaeology. I've got to get everything accomplished before I leave for North Carolina.

We are driving there from where I live. The total trip takes 18 hours and my father doesn't like to stop (apart from pee and coffee breaks). This is our third time going down and usually we drive through the night. It is one of my favourite things, driving on the deserted highway in the middle of the night. The air is cool. I feel all sentimental as I listen to my iPod and stick my feet out the window. I make up stories in my head and say poems to myself. Then we'll go to a random road-side diner and drink excellent coffee and meet interesting, quirky people. It is one of the loveliest things. We see the sunrise and take out our books to read and have little naps until we arrive. I think I love it so much because it makes me feel like a child. Care-free and such.


I am looking forward to breathing in the Ocean Air once again. Ocean and I are very good friends and I have not seen Her for an entire year. I have missed her dearly.

Today I had an appointment with a specialist because something is wrong with me and now I have to take these little white pills to fix me and they are pretty. That's really all I want to share right now.
I'm going away this weekend. All the grade 12s are renting cabins at this beach and basically everyone will be smashed and very high and we'll have a good time. I went shopping with my friends for grocheries for our cabin yesterday and I bought Zebra Cakes which I am very excited to eat. Also I went to my favourite place today (Cob's Bread) and got soughdough rolls, a Blueberry Teatime and a variety of scones.

Later on tonight I'll go for a bike ride with my Pops and then pack.

Last night I watched W.E.
I liked it for many reasons. It was one of the prettiest films I've seen.

Today I ate many sugar snap peas and went shopping for a swimming costume. I made up a sad story in my head about a girl called 'Nicoletteca' and dreamt about bathing in a river. I've left everything that I was supposed to do behind.
